What is the Hardship Grant?
To further support our drive to bring greater diversity & inclusion to our game, Ipswich YM RUFC are pleased to announce a newly formed ‘Brian Williams Foundation Hardship Grant’ set up to support disadvantaged youngsters in their rugby activity.
Brian Williams was a previous President of both Ipswich YM and also the RFU. He believed that grass roots rugby should be available for all – no matter what their ability or background. This core value is something that continues to underpin everything we do.
Through the kind support of our Sponsors, the Club is now open to applications from individuals who wish to apply for a hardship grant which is designed to help meet costs associated with playing such as registration fees and kit.

Who is eligible?
The hardship grants can be accessed by any parent for a child under the age of 18. It is there to support age grade players from disadvantaged backgrounds in paying club membership fees, purchasing training and club kit.

How to apply?
Applications are made by way of submission of an application form to a panel of the Club Committee members, who will take an assessment of your eligibility.

What is needed for the assessment?
You will be asked to tell us about your circumstances, this information is used to support your application, we ask you to provide any relevant documentation that you think may be useful to assist the panel in their decision.
